fully networked computer systems allowing the efficient transfer of ideas and information
throughout the region, and the UK. SBT Juul’s investment in the most modern and
innovative computer systems available is unparalleled, and in recent years, the
best in 3-D modelling packages, in the form of the "Reflex" system using "Silicon
Graphics" workstation, have been utilised. This system has been used to create complex
computer generated models, invaluable as a presentation, construction and costing
too.
The Design Teams have a sound track record in technology, and are well placed to
provide a professional service with speed, precision, and flexibility over a wide
range of development proposals. The firm offers over forty years of experience in
the region and has the capability of undertaking large and varied projects with
a tested and proven ability.
Architectural Design Projects recently undertaken by the group include the following:
- A US$ 40 million mixed-use city centre development
in Harare for MIPF Zimbabwe;
- Extensive refurbishment and expansion programme for
Sir Serase Khama Airport, Gaborone, Botswana;
- Design of a 200-bed private hospital in Bulawayo,
Zimbabwe;
- Design of several pre-university schools throughout
Zimbabwe;
- Design of a 150-bed hotel for the Cresta group;
- Development of the PTA Bank HQ in Burundi;
- Several prestigious projects for the Posts and Telecommunications
Corporation, Zimbabwe, including the Regional Sorting Office in Harare and the Regional
HQ in Gweru;
- Development Study of Palyape, Botswana;
- Design of an abattoir to cater for 200 animals per
day in Sudan;
- Design and study for a mixed-use development in Kampala,
Uganda;
Althought based in Southern Africa, SBT’s projects currently stretch from South
Africa to as far north as Sudan and west to Ghana. |
